Jimmy Ogles is a captivating DIY singer-songwriter who takes an untraditional approach to his craft, driven to capture the pure, raw essence of music. Born on May 12, 1975 in Inverness, Florida, Ogles’ journey through music has been shaped by personal tragedy and a tireless determination to forge his own path.

Raised by a single mother alongside four siblings after his father abandoned the family, Ogles found solace in songwriting as a means to process the pain of loss. This formative experience instilled in him a lifelong passion for using music as a vessel for authenticity and emotional resonance. Inspired by the eclectic musical tastes of his older brother Dewayne – spanning classic rock, metal, hip-hop, and blues – Ogles immersed himself in guitar, mastering the instrument through sheer dedication and a thirst for knowledge.

Ogles’ early musical endeavors included stints in various metal and doom bands, honing his skills in the studio and on stage. However, he soon realized the importance of maintaining creative control, vowing to never again relinquish the reins of his artistry. This resolve led him to form the alt-rock/punk-blues outfit Five Mile Radius with his brother, as well as the more experimental Beyond Oblivion.

In 2024, Ogles began unveiling his solo work, a collection of songs that showcase his raw, emotive songwriting prowess and his commitment to capturing the live energy of performance. As he prepares for a solo tour in the summer of 2025, Ogles’ singular vision and unwavering dedication to his craft have positioned him as a compelling force in the singer-songwriter landscape, poised to captivate audiences with his unique musical voice.
